Group and School Tours

Our love of agriculture and pride in our farm inspired us to offer group and school tours. The tours are very popular in September and October and fill up quickly! Apple Tour

John teaches the children how to pick apples, where to find their seeds and what is involved in growing apples.

For high school tours John teaches them the economics, sciences, laws, costs, etc. involved in this farming. Students learn a lot and ask a lot of questions. Everyone gets to enjoy an apple and John gets to share the joys of his job.

Pumpkin Tour

The pumpkin tours are a popular event at Zekveld’s Garden Market. The children get to play a game and pick a pumpkin for the class room and then can give John directions on how to carve their favourite pumpkin face. Everyone gets a free gourd sized pumpkin while supplies last.
